Ravenyard Priorities Assessment - Gratitude

GRATITUDE - a feeling of thankfulness and appreciation (acknowledgement, recognition, grace, thankfulness).

In crisis, tensions run high and it’s easy to feel like there is never enough: time, energy, or resources. Gratitude offers an internal reset. It reminds us to balance negativity and fear with thankfulness.
QUESTIONS TO ASK
  • Why is this your priority?
  • What about this resonates with you?
  • Describe qualities of gratitude.
  • What does it mean to be grateful during crisis or times of hardship?
  • When you look back on this time five years from now, how will you know you embodied gratitude?
  • How can gratitude guide your decision-making?
  • Who or what does this priority serve? How does it help?
  • Imagine yourself in a situation where you are grateful. What does that feel/sound/look like?
INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATIONS

It is difficult to feel gratitude in crisis and yet it is exactly those times of suffering when the practice is most profound. Look for small moments of unexpected grace, feelings of calm, times when a bird sings or a child smiles, and be grateful for them.

LEADERSHIP CONSIDERATIONS

It is easy to overlook people’s effort during times of crisis. Capable leaders remember to say “thank you” to their team, trusted advisors, and customers. Gratitude is both kind and practical.
